Indian Post Service is the biggest service in the whole world which delivers post to almost all places in India. India has also gained recognition in having a post office at the highest place. The highest post office in the world is situated in Himachal Pradesh which is almost 14,500 meters above from sea level. India Post has also set up a post office which is always floating. There is a post office in Kashmir's Dal Lake which always floats on water. It is named as 'Floating Post Office'.
Indian postal service can also be seen in Indian Films. In a movie of 1977, Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein the lead actor (Rajesh Khanna) is a postman and this film gave us the most famous song of Indian Cinema on Post men Dakiya Daak Laya...
